Hormones, clothing (cotton versus synthetic fabrics, etc.), dietary habits, laundry detergent, fabric dye (dark fabrics contain far more heavy metals than light colors), whether you smoke, etc., etc., etc.

Depending on these factors, a deodorant may work well or not at all.
Depending on the circumstances, sweat may smell terrible or not at all.

It’s possible that you tolerate a deodorant very well for a while.
And then suddenly, you don’t anymore.
