Description
One rosemary variety was found in Morobbia, a region of a small, remote, valley north of Bellinzona.
This variety of rosemary has been preserved in this small valley and has now become part of ProSpecieRara’s large rosemary collection in Coldrerio.
All of us are well familiar with rosemary – aren’t we ?
But did you also know, that this spice comes in a large variety of colors and scents ?
The collection in Coldrerio was set up in order to preserve this diversity; it’s important that these rare plants are not only viewed as being “beautiful” but that we make them part of our lives and use them in our kitchen – or as a shower soap 🙂
Morobbia has received three embracing scents: tangarine, rosemary and tagetes.

ProSpecieRara
The Swiss foundation promotes old kinds of vegetables, flowering plants but also old varieties of farm animals.
What’s the sense in finding all of these beautiful, attractive or cute, if you don’t actively have them in your garden or use them in your cooking ?
ProSpecieRara wants us to learn more about the diversity of plants and animals and wants to encourage all of us to tend and regularly use a big variety of plants and also products from different farm animals.

Anwendung
For showering.
Either you simply use the piece of soap without any auxiliary implement. Or then you use the practical “DuschSäckli“.
Another option would be the ingenious magnetic soap holder: makes things a lot easier in terms of handling.
Healthy skin
According to LOTS of feedback I have heard throughout the years the imporant points seem to be:
– if possible: don’t take a shower on a daily basis
– use soap (or any cleaning agent) only in the “neuralgic” spots – not on all of the body
– rinse well – everywhere
– try not to rub yourself too rigorously with your towel; better would be to pat the moisture away; leaving some water on the skin would be optimal
Due to the essential oils it’s not recommended for kids unter 3 years of age
Hard / soft
Industrial soap or natural soap which is made with palm- or coconut oil tends to be very hard.
Old olive-oil soap also tends to be hard.
Relatively fresh natural soap – made without palm- or coconut oil – can be a wee softer than the kinds mentioned above.
In order to achieve favorable characteristics for our skin, I absolutely want special oils in my recipes 🙂
And some of these tend to make my soaps a bit less hard.
This is the reason why I classify my DuschMödeli into different “degrees of hardness”.
On a scale between 1 (very hard) and 5 (very soft) this Mödeli would figure at “1“.
Longevity
Keep it dry. Don’t let it sit in water. Then it last the longest.
Helpful could be the soap pouch or the magnet soap holder.
