DIY own shower gel
Using a cheese grinder you can turn the block into shavings; these you mix with essential oils (approx. 5% of the shavings) and a larger pinch of guar gum.
Fill this mixture into an old bottle – up to about 1/5 full – and the rest with water.
Shake, shake and let sit for approx. 1 day.
And there’s your homemade showering gel – without any strange ingredients which you can’t make head nor tails of…
DIY own small bars of soap
Mix the shavings with essential oils (approx 5% of shavings) and a tiny bit of food coloring.
Then press this mixture into cookie forms (ideally you also make a “negative” for each cookie form out of modelling clay which you can harden in the oven…otherwise it tends to be quite challenging to get the soap out of the mold…)
At last you slightly powder the soap with a bit of starch (it remains less sticky).
